We have developed and implemented stringent written policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of safe, effective health care services.

Interventional Pain Medicine:

Interventional Pain Medicine is the use of image-guided minimally invasive techniques to precisely deliver medication to relieve pain.

Physiatry / Physiatrists:

Physiatrists are specialist medical doctors that focus on enhancing and restoring functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments from pain, injury or disease.

Dr. Jeremy P. Fennell, MD, PT, FRCPC, Dip Sport Med
Interventional Physiatrist

Dr. Fennell is the only physician in Canada with the combination of specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (a.k.a. Physiatry), Anesthesiology based fellowship training in Pain Medicine and a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Additionally, he has previous clinical experience as a Registered Physiotherapist prior to embarking on a career in medicine. His distinctive multispecialty and multidisciplinary education and clinical experience afford him a unique perspective on the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain conditions.

His main clinical interest involves the diagnosis and management of spinal, musculoskeletal and chronic pain disorders through fluoroscopy and ultrasound guided interventional procedures. This includes but is not limited to; peripheral nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, deep joint injections, percutaneous tenotomy and radiofrequency nerve ablations.
